Antenna Design

The ARC Group is capable of spanning full spectrum for antenna development; it has the industry standard simulation tools (CST, HFSS) and in-house solvers to conceptualize and analyze novel antenna designs, the ability to fabricate prototypes of these concepts on both rigid and flexible substrates in-house, and the ability to measure the performance of the built prototypes from near and far-field measurements in-house. This concept to product capability is used in conjunction with decades of research and development experience to create many types of novel miniaturized and wideband antennas for various applications - ranging from CubeSats to 5G networks. The group is actively leveraging these capabilities to meet society's growing demand for lower-cost, lightweight, and small form-factor wideband antennas for both conformal/planar usecases. Having its own anechoic chamber, the group is also actively investigating and implementing low-cost methods for far and near-field measurements to enable a broader range of the public to be able to characterize and learn about antenna performance characterization.
